Gordon began working in radio in Beckley, WV doing news, public affairs and sports.  He also co-hosted a call-in talk show for several years.  His career eventually evolved into sales and he has been involved with that for several years.  He still divides his time between Beckley and Lexington.  He has been with WWZW/FM and WREL/AM for about two years and says he has learned to love the community and its people.

Gordon is married with three children and seven grandchildren, all of whom live near Gordon in the Beckley area.
