Officials at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital say the first baby born in 2010 in Rockbridge County was delivered just after 2:15 last Friday morning.
The parents are Wesley and Erica Shaffer. Erica gave birth to a baby boy that weighed just over 8 pounds. The baby’s name is Conner.
Classic 96.7 3WZ and Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital presented gifts to the family, including a car seat from Stonewall Insurance, a gift certificate for a Prime Rib Buffet for two from Natural Bridge of Virginia, a baby gift from Peanut Butter and Jelly, a flower arrangement from Four Seasons Florist, one months membership to the YMCA, a free haircut from City Styles and a massage from Kelly Harris.
